What can i visit?

Municipal History Museum "Amigos del Museo":

the museum was opened on august 12th, 1981 and it is located upstairs verdi theatre. It exhibits testimonies from the first aboriginal inhabitants of the region, others which evoke the gaucho and the weapons that the first immigrants at Cañada de Gómez colony used. There are also testimonies of religious life, statues from San Pedro parish church and from the earliest communities in our town. There are also other souvenirs from trade and industry, as well as from farm work. There is also a library specialised in local history, with a collection of photographs and videos and a documentary life. There are guided tours available for students or special groups.

Verdi Theatre:

The style was taken from the italian theatres of that period, planned by "Unione e Benevolenza", it was founded on february 14th, 1925 and it was opened as a lyric room. Since then, it has been part of the social, educational and cultural activity of the city. It is one of the most important theatres in santa fe, declared provincial historical monument by law in the year 2,000.

Cervantes Theatre:

it was opened on september 30th, 1911. It presently offers a wide variety of films and shows.

Colonia Médici:

here the visitor has access to a wide offer of visits and circuits which will allow him to live a unique experience in close contact with nature. The colony recreates the local history from the late xixtth century to these days.

San Pedro parish church:

though the primitive church was opened towards 1885, the building of the current church was boosted from 1990 on. Its bells were brought from france. The building work made progress and was finally opened in june 1910, though it was not until 8th october 1916 that the building of the tower was completed. The church was embellished in the 1930s.

Squares and Outings:

san martin square is opposite san pedro parish church and there are several other squares and small squares to visit in the different parts of the city.

Municipal Park:

it is a land of 16 has. Placed by state road nº 9. 30% of its area is used for sports activities and the rest for recreational activities. The park has more than one hundred different species of trees and more than 2,000 specimens. In addition to this, is has the following facilities: barbecue grills and thatched arbors, running water, lighting, swimming pool, paved velodrome, athletics track, football pitch and a multi-purpose room.


there are 14 clubs where one can practise sports, and enjoy recreational and cultural activities. The main activities offered are: football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, bowls, martial arts, swimming, rugby, paddle tennis, snooker, car racing, model airplane making, parachuting, gymnastics, aerobics, cycling (on track and road), mountain bike, boxing, target shooting, tennis, professional and figure skating, summer camps.

Local Art Museum:

it is located in a building of the former railway station since 2009. It was hosted to present the most relevant works of local artists and hold events linked to cultural activities.

Municipal School "Pedro Reûn":

it offers different activities: dancing, art, puppet theatre workshops, athletics, off-site education, interactive centre of science and technology, "Ecoclub".
